There is a waiting list which covers many sections of the orchestra.
We welcome enquiries from potential players of approximately 6th grade AMEB or higher, particularly for the string sections. All ages are welcome, and there are no auditions.
Generally, potential members would attend a few rehearsals, decide whether they wish to apply for membership and then submit an application to the committee, who will subsequently decide on their admission.

Orchestral rehearsals take place each Saturday between 9am and 12pm at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre, 470 Station Street, Box Hill. These are closed rehearsals unless permission is given to visit.
The players' subscription rate is as follows:
- Full membership is $200, or $100 per half year.
- Concession is $160, or $80 per half year
